• As per CDSCO, Rexipra Forte Tablet is used for:
• Treatment of the symptoms of comorbid depression (depression associated with other disorders). Treatment of anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and other mood disorders.

• Do not take Rexipra Forte tablets or take with caution:
• If you are allergic to any of the components of the Rexipra Forte tablet
• If you have a history of alcohol or medicine addiction, mental health disorder, depression, etc.
• If you are pregnant.
• If you are breastfeeding.
• If you are already using other anti-anxiety medicines or sedatives; these can interfere with Rexipra Forte tablets and cause adverse reactions.
• If you are driving; it can impair your driving ability.
• If you have acute angle glaucoma, an eye condition with increased fluid pressure.
• If you have liver disease.
• If you have a seizure disorder and are on antiepileptic (anti-seizure) medication.

• Side effects of Rexipra Forte tablets include:
• Drowsiness
• Tiredness
• Nausea
• Diarrhoea
• Stomach issues
• Slow heart rate
• Sexual dysfunctions
• Memory problems
• Uncoordinated movements

Other General Warnings

• You experience persistent side effects.
• You are an older adult over 65; this medicine can cause increased side effects due to slow metabolism in the elderly.
• You are a child below 18; there are not enough studies on this medicine’s safety in children. Do not take this medicine without consulting with your doctor.
• You have any respiratory diseases.
• You need to do something that requires focus; this medicine can affect focus and cause drowsiness.
• You are using any ayurvedic or herbal medicines or supplements; notify your doctor as some of these can cause serious side effects.

• Take Rexipra Forte tablets in the exact dosage and at the same time every day.

Interactions with other medicines

• Take caution if you use other anti-anxiety and mood disorder medications such as linezolid, moclobemide, selegiline, etc. These, in combination with Rexipra Forte tablets, can cause severe reactions.
• Do not take other medicines that cause drowsiness, such as medicines for allergy, cold and cough, opiates, and narcotic pain relievers with Rexipra Forte tablets. This can increase the side effects and cause extreme drowsiness.
• If you are using antiepileptic medicines for seizure disorders, inform your doctor as they can increase the side effects of Rexipra Forte tablets.
• If you are using other antidepressant medicines, do not use it with a Rexipra Forte tablet without informing your doctor, as it can cause severe reactions.
• If you have bleeding issues or are on a blood thinner, Rexipra Forte tablets can increase bleeding.

Interactions with food items

• Avoid grapefruit and its juice, as this fruit can worsen the side effects of Rexipra Forte tablets.
• Products containing caffeine as well as chocolates and desserts can cause an increase in serotonin, leading to serotonin toxicity and cause severe side effects.
• You can take Rexipra Forte tablets before or after food.
