Calcium carbonate supplies calcium needed for bones, muscles, nerves and the heart. Vitamin D3 helps the body absorb and use calcium and maintain calcium balance. Folic acid and vitamin B12 support red blood cell formation and normal nerve function. Docosahexaenoic acid and eicosapentaenoic acid are omega-3 fats that support cell functions and normal fat metabolism. Boron is included as a mineral component of the combination.

Interactions

Interactions with other medicines

Some medicines can affect the way Recalmin D3 Max softgel capsule works. Tell your doctor about all the medicines, vitamins and supplements you take. In particular, mention thyroid medicines, certain antibiotics, iron supplements, blood-thinning medicines, medicines affecting calcium levels and other vitamin D or calcium products. Calcium can reduce absorption of some thyroid medicines, antibiotics and iron supplements, while omega-3 ingredients may increase bleeding risk with some blood-thinning medicines.
