Pulmoclear Tablet is a prescription medicine used to manage cough, congestion, and breathing difficulties in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma-related symptoms. It helps clear the airways and makes breathing easier by reducing mucus buildup and opening the bronchial tubes. This makes it highly effective for people dealing with chronic respiratory conditions.
The active ingredients in Pulmoclear Tablet are acebrophylline and acetylcysteine. Acebrophylline works as a bronchodilator, which relaxes and widens the airways, improving airflow into the lungs. Acetylcysteine is a mucolytic agent that helps thin and loosen mucus, making it easier to cough out. Together, they relieve chest congestion and improve overall breathing.
Pulmoclear Tablet should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water, and avoid crushing or chewing it. Do not exceed the recommended dose or discontinue the medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor. Other medicines with a similar combination include AB Phylline N, Broclear tablet, Mucinac AB tablet, Acebcystein tablet and Abiways tablet.
Some patients may experience mild side effects such as dizziness, headache, nausea, stomach discomfort, or vomiting while taking Pulmoclear. - If you are allergic to acebrophylline, acetylcysteine, or any other ingredients of Pulmoclear tablets.
- If you have a heart failure problem, low blood pressure, unstable blood pressure, or irregular heartbeats
- If you have liver or kidney problems.
- This medicine should not be used in patients below 18 years of age.
- Any other condition in which the use of acebrophylline or acetylcysteine when taken alone is contraindicated.

- You have any stomach or intestinal ulcers.

Directions for Use
- Use Pulmoclear tablet as directed by your doctor.
- It should be taken at the same time every day, preferably in the evening after food.
- Drink plenty of fluids while taking this medication to help loosen the congestion and lubricate your throat.

- Store at room temperature, away from heat, moisture and direct light.
- Keep out of the reach of children.
Quick Tips
- Pulmoclear does not work immediately and should not be used to treat sudden breathing problems. To control sudden breathing difficulty, use your rescue inhaler.
- Your doctor will decide the dosage and treatment duration based on your age, weight, and medical condition. Do not discontinue Pulmoclear tablet once your symptoms improve without consulting your doctor.
- This medicine should not be used in patients below 18 years of age.

Overdose
- The symptoms of an overdose of Pulmoclear tablets are nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, increased heartbeat and fits.
- In case of an overdose, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
Missed a Dose
- In case you have missed any dose of Pulmoclear tablet, take it as soon as you remember.
- If it's time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule.
- Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.

Interactions with other medicines
- Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, or herbals you are taking to avoid any possible interaction.
- Especially if you are taking medicines to treat high blood pressure, heart failure, high/abnormal cholesterol levels, blood thinners, anti-infectives, anti-diabetics, anti-asthmatics, pain killers, immunomodulatory medicines or medicines for brain-related disorders.
- Steroids and Diuretics (water pills) can decrease potassium levels when used along with such medicine. Cough suppressants should not be used at the same time while using this medicine.
