• If you are allergic to Acetylcysteine, Acebrophylline or any other ingredients of Pulmoclear Tablet.
• If you have heart problems such as fast or irregular heartbeats, heart failure, low blood pressure, unstable blood pressure, etc.
• If you have problems with your liver or kidneys.
• If you are below the age of below 18 years.

• Headache

• Sleepiness
• Skin rashes, itching
• Difficulty in breathing

Other General Warnings

• You are suffering from any heart problems.
• You have problems with your liver or kidneys.
• You have an overactive thyroid gland.
• You have an ulcer in your stomach or intestines.
• You have asthma or fits.
• You suffer from any viral infection.
• You develop an allergic reaction after using the Pulmoclear Tablet.
• You do not notice any improvement in your condition while on treatment.

• Store Pulmoclear Tablets in a cool and dry place, protected from direct sunlight, moisture and heat.
• Keep it away from children and pets.
• Discard any unused medicine properly, do not flush in the toilet or throw it into the drain.

• Pulmoclear Tablet thins thick mucus and widens the airways at the same time, so secretions can actually be cleared.
• Drink plenty of water; a mucolytic works poorly if you are dehydrated.
• Take it with or just after food to reduce nausea and heartburn.
• A more productive cough in the first days means the mucus is loosening, not that the medicine is failing.
• The sulphurous smell of acetylcysteine is harmless and does not mean the medicine has spoiled.
• Do not take a cough suppressant alongside it; loosened mucus needs to be coughed up.
• Keep coffee, tea and energy drinks moderate, as the xanthine component adds to palpitations and restlessness.
• Avoid the last dose late at night, as it can disturb sleep.
• This does not replace your reliever or preventer inhaler; continue both as prescribed.
• Tell your doctor when an antibiotic is prescribed, as some need separating by about two hours.
• Report worsening breathlessness or discoloured sputum, which may indicate infection.
• Stop smoking; it thickens mucus, damages the cilia that clear it, and speeds the breakdown of this medicine.

Missed a Dose

• Pulmoclear Tablet works by the combined action of Acetylcysteine and Acebrophylline.
• Acebrophylline act by relaxing the smooth muscles of airways and induces the release of pulmonary surfactants which helps in clearing the congestion.
• Acetylcysteine works by breaking down and loosening the thick phlegm, making it runny and easy to cough up, thus clearing the airway.

Interactions with food items

• Take Pulmoclear Tablet with or just after food, which reduces the nausea and heartburn both components can cause.
• Drink plenty of water through the day. This matters more than with most medicines: a mucolytic works by thinning secretions, and dehydration directly undermines that, so good hydration is part of the treatment.
• Keep caffeine moderate. Coffee, tea, cola, chocolate and energy drinks belong to the same chemical family as the xanthine component and can add to restlessness, tremor, palpitations and disturbed sleep.
• Avoid alcohol, which irritates the stomach, worsens sleep disturbance and dehydrates you.
• Take the last dose earlier in the evening rather than at bedtime, as the xanthine component can keep you awake.
• The sulphurous taste of acetylcysteine bothers many people; taking the tablet promptly with a full glass of cold water, or following it with a strongly flavoured drink, makes it easier.
