Prothiaden 25mg is a prescription medicine. Prothiaden 25 mg is used to treat depression or chronic nerve pain. Prothiaden 25mg tablets reduce depression and pain by normalising the neurotransmitters in your nervous system. Each tablet of Prothiaden 25mg contains 25mg of dosulepin. Dosulepin is known by the name Dothiepin in some countries. The drug class for Prothiaden 25mg is tricyclic antidepressants.
Your doctor may prescribe you one or more Prothiaden 25mg tablets, depending on the severity of your condition. Take precisely the prescribed dose of Prothiaden tablets. Overdose of Prothiaden 25mg tablets may cause severe side effects. Sudden stopping of Prothiaden tablets can also cause serious side effects.

Contraindications
- Prothiaden 25mg tablets are generally not recommended:

- If you have liver disease
- If you have kidney disease
- If you have porphyria
- If you have glaucoma
- If you have suicidal thoughts
