Pro Ziety Tablet is a prescription medication that is used for the management of anxiety disorders. It can also be used for panic disorder and anxiety related to depression.
Pro Ziety Tablet contains two active ingredients: Alprazolam and propranolol. Alprazolam slows down excessive brain activity, produces a feeling of relaxation, calmness and induces sleep. Propranolol helps manage cardiac symptoms of anxiety.
Anxiety disorder is a mental health condition characterised by episodes of fear, worry, nervousness, sweating and rapid heartbeat. At the same time, the Panic disorder is a type of anxiety disorder characterised by sudden, extremely intense fear and worry.
Pro Ziety Tablet should be taken in the prescribed dosage and duration as advised by your doctor. Pro Ziety Tablet should not be stopped suddenly without consulting your doctor, as it can cause clinical worsening of your condition or may lead to withdrawal-like symptoms. The doctor’s advice must be followed strictly as this medication possesses habit-forming potential.

Contraindications
- If you are allergic to any component of the Pro Ziety Tablet, i.e. Alprazolam or Propranolol.
- If you take medicines like antidepressants, anti-anxiety or sedative medications, narcotic or opioid pain relievers.
- If you have glaucoma (increases the fluid pressure in the eyes)
- If you have respiratory depression, which is a slow and steady decline in breathing.
- If you have a history of alcohol or drug addiction.
- If you have liver or kidney problems.
- If you have some respiratory issues like asthma, sleep apnea, etc.
- If you see sudden mood changes, suicidal thoughts or other harmful behaviour.

Directions for Use
- Take a Pro Ziety Tablet as prescribed by the doctor.
- Take Pro Ziety Tablet on a regular schedule with or without food or as prescribed, preferably at the same time every day.
- Swallow the whole tablet orally with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew this medicine.
- Do not take Pro Ziety Tablet with other medications as it may lead to drug interaction.
- Don’t stop taking Pro Ziety Tablet suddenly, as it may lead to withdrawal side effects.
- Don’t exceed the dosage of Pro Ziety Tablet on your own.
Storage and disposal
Store the Pro Ziety Tablet in dry conditions and at room temperature. Keep it away from direct sunlight and humid conditions. Keep Pro Ziety Tablet away from the reach of children and pets. Overdose
Pro Ziety Tablet overdose can cause symptoms like dizziness, extreme sleepiness, problems with balancing, confusion, difficulty speaking, slow heartbeat, loss of consciousness and seizures. If you experience any of these overdose symptoms, immediately seek emergency medical treatment from a nearby hospital.
Missed a Dose
If you have missed a dose of the Pro Ziety Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. If you recall missing it when it is time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue with the regular schedule.
Speak with your doctor if you have any questions about the dosage or if you missed a few doses together. Do not take two doses together as it can cause overdose side effects.
Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
Pro Ziety Tablet contains two active ingredients: Alprazolam-0.25mg and Propranolol-20mg. Alprazolam is benzodiazepine class of medicine. It works by binding GABA receptors in the brain, which increases the activity of Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), a natural chemical messenger in the brain. Increased effects of Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) cause suppression of the excessive and abnormal electrical activity of the nerve cells in the brain and produce a feeling of relaxation, calmness and relief symptoms of anxiety.
Propranolol is a beta-blocker. It works by blocking the receptors of epinephrine or norepinephrine (chemical messengers), which helps in reducing blood pressure, heart rate and excess stress on the heart.

Interactions with other medicines
- Tell your doctor about all your prescription and non-prescription medications, herbal products, vitamins and nutritional supplements you are consuming or plan to take as there is a chance of drug interaction. Many medicines can interact with Pro Ziety Tablet, making it less effective or increasing the side effects.
- Pro Ziety Tablet interaction with Antidepressants or mood-elevating medicines like fluoxetine and desipramine can cause increased side effects.
- Pro Ziety Tablet interaction with antihistamines (allergy medicines) like- Cetirizine, Chlorpheniramine; Pain killers, such as morphine, oxycodone, fentanyl, hydrocodone, tramadol, codeine, sleeping pills, etc, can increase drowsiness and fatigue.
- Pro Ziety Tablet interaction with antifungal medications like fluconazole, itraconazole ketoconazole can reduce its effects.
- Pro Ziety Tablet can reduce the effectiveness of oral contraceptives or birth control pills. So, it is advised to use other contraceptive methods like condoms.
- Pro Ziety Tablet may also interact with Herbal supplements like St. John’s wort and can lead to severe side effects.
Interactions with food items
- You should avoid caffeine-containing diets like coffee tea, grapefruit and its juice as it may reduce the effectiveness of the Pro Ziety Tablet.
