Interactions with other medicines
- Medications like aldesleukin, mifepristone, other medicines that can also cause bleeding/bruising (including antiplatelet medicines such as clopidogrel, "blood thinners" such as warfarin/dabigatran, NSAIDs such as ibuprofen, celecoxib, aspirin, salicylates) may interact with methylprednisolone
- Administration of azole antifungals (such as ketoconazole), cyclosporine, estrogens, HIV protease inhibitors (such as ritonavir), macrolide antibiotics (such as erythromycin), rifamycins (such as rifampin) can effect removal of methylprednisolone from body
