Directions for Use

For external use only. Make sure the ulcer area is clean and dry before applying Plermin gel. Wash your hands well before and after use. Spread a thin layer as advised and cover the area with a dressing if your doctor tells you to. Keep it away from your eyes and mouth.

Storage and disposal

Store Plermin gel in a refrigerator between two and eight degrees Celsius, and do not freeze it. Keep it out of the reach and sight of children.

Quick Tips

  • Keep the ulcer area clean and dry to help it heal.
  • Wear comfortable, well-fitting shoes and avoid high heels.
  • Check your feet daily for cuts, sores, or redness.
  • Try not to put pressure on the affected foot when standing or walking.
  • Wash your feet with lukewarm water and moisturise to prevent cracking.

Dosage

Overdose

Plermin gel is applied only to the skin, so using a little extra is unlikely to cause serious harm. If it is swallowed by mistake, or if you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.

Missed a Dose

If you missed any dose of medicine, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.

How does this medicine work?

Wounds heal when the body builds new tissue and skin over the damaged area. The growth factor in Plermin gel acts like a natural signal that draws the body's repair cells into the ulcer and helps them form fresh, healthy tissue. This speeds up healing and helps close the sore.

Interactions

Interactions with other medicines

Medicines you take by mouth or as an injection are not likely to change the way Plermin gel works. Even so, tell your doctor about all the medicines and supplements you use. In particular, let them know if you have used a similar wound-healing product before and had an allergic reaction to it.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Keep the ulcer clean and dry, wear comfortable shoes, and check your feet every day for cuts or redness. Try to keep weight and pressure off the affected foot.
Clean and dry the area first, wash your hands, then spread a thin layer over the ulcer as your doctor advises. Cover it with a dressing if you have been told to.
Let your doctor know if the ulcer does not improve or gets worse. Get help quickly if you get a rash, swelling of the face or lips, or trouble breathing.
