Piptaz 2.25gm Dry Vial Of 1 Powder For Injection Description

Piptaz 2.25gm Inj is an antibiotic containing a combination of Piperacillin and Tazobactam. Piptaz injection is used to treat bacterial infection of lungs, urinary tract, reproductive tract, stomach-

intestine, soft tissues, joints. It belongs to the high-end antibiotics, used when other antibiotics do not provide optimal benefit. This medicine acts by killing the infection-causing bacteria along with inactivating the enzymes they produced to maximize the effect of the medicine. Piptaz 2.25gm injection will be administered intravenously under the medical supervision of a doctor or nurse at a hospital or clinical setup. Do not take this medicine orally.

  • Piptaz 2.25gm injection is used to treat serious and complicated bacterial infections of stomach and abdominal, skin and soft tissue, diabetic foot due to uncontrolled diabetes and pneumonia.
  • It is used only when infection cannot be controlled by other antibiotics.

How Does It Work?

  • Piptaz 2.25gm Inj acts by killing the bacteria responsible for infections. However, bacteria make an enzyme (beta-lactamases) which can destroy piperacillin
