It can also relieve itching from some insect-bite reactions and eczema. Its active ingredient is levocetirizine, which reduces the effects of histamine, a natural chemical released during allergic reactions. Philfree tablet is taken by mouth with or without food as prescribed.

Levocetirizine blocks the action of histamine in the body. Histamine is released during an allergic reaction and causes sneezing, runny nose, itching, watery eyes and skin swelling. By reducing histamine's effects, Philfree tablet calms these symptoms.

Interactions

Some medicines can affect the way Philfree tablet works. Tell your doctor about all the medicines, vitamins and supplements you take. In particular, sleeping pills, anxiety medicines, muscle relaxants, strong pain medicines and esketamine may increase drowsiness or slow reactions. Other antihistamines may increase sleepiness, dry mouth or difficulty passing urine. Also tell your doctor if you use mirtazapine, thalidomide, tranylcypromine, dalteparin or mefloquine, because these combinations may need individual review for increased side effects or reduced alertness.
