Medical Description
Pherin syrup is used to temporarily relieve common cold symptoms, allergy symptoms, nasal congestion, fever and minor aches. It is a combination of chlorpheniramine, an antihistamine that calms allergy symptoms, paracetamol, which lowers fever and eases pain, and phenylephrine, a decongestant that reduces swelling inside the nose. Together, these ingredients can make a blocked nose easier to breathe through while easing runny nose, sneezing and watery eyes. Pherin syrup is an oral liquid taken by mouth using the measuring device supplied with the pack, exactly as advised. It may be used for children only under a doctor's direction and does not cure the infection causing a cold.
