Medical Description
Paston syrup is an oral medicine used to treat anaemia caused by low iron, folic acid or vitamin B12. It contains ferric ammonium citrate, a source of iron, together with folic acid and cyanocobalamin, also called vitamin B12. The iron component helps the body make haemoglobin, while the folic acid and vitamin B12 components support the formation and normal maturation of red blood cells and healthy nerve function. Paston syrup is taken by mouth after shaking and measuring it with the device supplied with the pack, as prescribed.
