PAN IV injection is an acidity medicine used for the treatment of ulcer & acid reflux disease. It reduces the symptom of heartburn, acidity and discomfort in the stomach. It contains pantoprazole as
an active ingredient that helps in reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach. This injection will be given by a doctor or nurse in a hospital/clinic. Along with this treatment, you need to make a slight change in your daily routine including less oily and spicy food, quit alcohol and smoke, etc. for maximum results.

Uses of Pan 40 MG
- PAN IV injection is used for the treatment of stomach and intestinal ulcers, heartburn and indigestion.
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a condition in which acid from the stomach comes up to the food pipe causing heartburn.
- For a condition called Zollinger-Ellison syndrome where the stomach produces too much acid due to the presence of a tumor.
Contraindications of Pan 40 MG
- If you are allergic to pantoprazole or other proton pump inhibitors.
- If you are on antiviral medicines like rilpivirine, atazanavir.
- If you are on medicines that modify the immune system (methotrexate).
- If you are suffering from or suspected of stomach cancer.
- If a family history of stomach cancer exists.
- If you are on medication for HIV or chemotherapy like methotrexate.

Other General Warnings
Talk to your doctor if
- You have a liver-related problem or history of stomach cancer or any other pre-existing health condition.
- You are taking painkillers or anti-HIV medicine.
- You have weak or brittle bones. Taking this medicine for long-term treatment may increase the chances of developing bone fractures.
- If you are on this medicine for more than three months, your blood magnesium levels may drop. Your doctor may perform regular tests for the same.
- On exposure to the sun, you get a rash on your skin, stop your treatment with Pantoprazole and inform your doctor as this may be a symptom of Subacute Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus (SCLE).
- You have low levels of vitamin B12 (like Cobalamin). This medicine is known to reduce the absorption of vitamin B12 after long-term use.
