Medical Description
Onabet cream is used in the treatment of fungal infections of the skin, nails and scalp. It contains sertaconazole an antifungal medicine. Onabet works by inhibiting the enzyme responsible for cell wall synthesis of fungi which stops the growth of fungus and kills the fungus responsible for the infection. This cream should not be used in patients below 12 years of age. It is meant only for external application and should be applied exactly as recommended by your doctor. Wash your hand after applying Onabet cream. You may experience some application site reactions as side effects, but they normally fade away with time. Please report to your doctor if you notice the side effects persist or worsen.

Contraindications
- If you are allergic to sertaconazole or any of the ingredients of Onabet cream.
- If you have windburned or sunburned skin or open wounds.
- Do not use this medicine in or around the eyes, lips or inside of the nose.

- You develop irritation and skin allergy.
- You have a history of an allergy to any other anti fungal like azole antifungal, otherwise reaction may occur.
- You should not apply Onabet cream on any other skin condition other than what it is prescribed for.
- You should not apply it near eyes, mouth or vagina or mucous membrane.
- Onabet cream comes in contact with your eyes, wash the eyes with water immediately.
Directions for Use
- Onabet cream is meant for topical use only.
- Apply it on infected area as suggested by your doctor and for the prescribed duration.
- Wash your hands before and after application unless your hands are the area of application.
- Do not use it for a longer time than your doctor suggested.

- Store Onabet cream below 25°C in a clean and dry place.
- Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.

- Inform your doctor about all other medicines that you are using and your complete medical history.
- If your symptoms do not improve after a few weeks of using the cream or if they get worse, contact your doctor.
- You should not give it to other people, even if they have the same symptoms that you have.
- Onabet cream should not be used in children below 12 years of age.
