Medical Description

Omen Act tablet is a combination medicine used to treat high blood pressure. It contains three active ingredients: amlodipine, olmesartan, and chlorthalidone. It is helpful for treating angina pectoris, which is chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart. The medication works by relaxing the blood vessels, thereby improving blood flow and lowering blood pressure. Omen Act tablet aids in reducing blood pressure by increasing the amount of water and sodium that your body expels through urine.

You can take Omen Act tablet with or without food. Do not stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor, as doing so may result in serious health issues. It is important to avoid using Omen Act tablet if you have allergies to any of its components, are more than three months pregnant, have kidney diseases, or are diabetic. Prior to starting this medication, make sure to inform your doctor about your medical history and any other medications you are currently taking.

Take Omen Act tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor, typically at the same time each day, and preferably with food. Discontinuing the medication abruptly can lead to significant health complications.

Common side effects include headache, nausea, and dizziness. If these side effects are bothersome, consult your doctor.

Mode of Action

How Does It Work?

Omen Act tablet functions by relaxing the blood vessels, thereby facilitating easier blood flow and lowering blood pressure. It also enhances the supply of blood and oxygen to the heart muscle, alleviating chest pain caused by angina. It also operates by blocking a substance in the body that causes the blood vessels to constrict, thus relaxing the vessels and allowing blood to flow freely. It helps reduce blood pressure by supporting the excretion of water and sodium through urine.
