• If you are allergic to indapamide, olmesartan, or any other ingredients of Olmy D tablet.
• If you are pregnant for over 3 months.
• If you are suffering from jaundice.
• If you have diabetes.
• If you have gallbladder problems.
• If you have any kidney disease.
• If you are using any medicine containing aliskiren.

• Flu-like symptoms
• Cough
• Runny or stuffy nose
• Sore throat
• Swelling

Other General Warnings

• You suffer from any heart diseases.
• You have kidney or liver problems.
• You have diarrhoea and vomiting.
• You are receiving high-dose diuretics (furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide).
• You are on a low-salt diet.
• Your doctor has told you that you have high blood potassium levels.
• You have an adrenal gland disorder.
• You are taking other medications to treat high blood pressure, such as Ramipril, Lisinopril, and Aliskiren.
• Olmy D tablet is not recommended for children below the age of 6 years.

• Olmy D tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor.
• Swallow it whole with a glass of water.
• It should be taken with or after a meal to reduce its side effects.
• It is best to take it at a fixed time for optimal results, and you should not consume it more than prescribed by your doctor.

• Store Olmy D tablet in a cool, dry place, protected from direct sunlight, moisture, and heat.
• Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.

• You can take it with or after food, but try to be consistent each day.
• Stand up slowly from sitting or lying positions to reduce the risk of dizziness or light-headedness.

How Does It Work?

• Indapamide is a water pill. It works by acting on the kidneys. It increases urinary output, thereby increasing the excretion of water and salt from the body. This helps in reducing cardiac output and blood pressure.
• Olmesartan works by blocking a substance in the body that causes blood vessels to tighten, thereby relaxing them and allowing blood to flow more easily.

Interactions with other medicines

• Before starting Olmy D tablet, inform your doctor about all the medicines you take, including herbal, vitamins & mineral supplements.
• This medication, when taken with other antihypertensive medications such as benazepril, captopril, and lisinopril, may alter its effects.
• Concomitant use along with medicines used in heart diseases and high blood pressure, like perindopril, candesartan, and aliskiren, may increase the risk of side effects with this medicine.
• Concomitant use of this medicine with potassium supplements, medications such as amiloride, and spironolactone is not recommended, as it may increase blood potassium levels.
• Medicines like aspirin, ibuprofen, etc, may lead to kidney failure when taken together with this medicine.
• Lithium should not be taken simultaneously with this medicine.
• This medicine should be taken at least 4 hours before Colesevelam (used to reduce blood cholesterol and fatty substances).
