Uses of Oflotas Oz Tablet

Oflotas oz tablet is used to treat diarrhoea of mixed infection in adults.

Contraindications of Oflotas Oz Tablet

  • If you are allergic to ofloxacin, ornidazole, or any of the ingredients of Oflotas-OZ tablet.
  • If you are allergic to the class of medicines called Fluoroquinolone.
  • If you have a history of fits (epilepsy).
  • If you have problems related to the tendon (tissue connecting muscles to bones) like inflammation and swelling of the tendons (tendonitis).
  • If you are pregnant or are planning to have a baby or if you are breastfeeding.
  • If your age is less than 18 years.
  • If you have Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase deficiency (an inherited disorder that affects red blood cells) or a family history of this deficiency.

Precautions and Warnings of Oflotas Oz Tablet


Can I take the Oflotas-OZ tablet during pregnancy?
  • It is preferable to avoid Oflotas-OZ tablet if you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant or are planning to have a baby as this medicine may harm your baby
  • If you conceive while taking this medicine, stop taking this medicine immediately and inform your doctor.

Breast Feeding

Can I take the Oflotas-OZ tablet while breastfeeding?
Oflotas-OZ tablets can pass into human breast milk and can harm your child. Hence, breastfeeding should be discontinued while you are taking this medicine.


Can I drive if I have consumed the Oflotas-OZ tablet?
You may experience sleepiness, dizziness, visual disturbance and poor coordination after taking the Oflotas-OZ tablet. It is advisable not to drive if you experience such symptoms.


Can I consume alcohol with Oflotas-OZ tablet?
It is advised not to consume alcohol during the treatment with Oflotas-OZ tablet as it may worsen the side effect like dizziness.

  • You feel restlessness, lightheadedness, confusion or hallucinations.
  • You feel allergic reactions like fever or rashes.
  • You have a kidney problem or heart problem.
  • You have glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency (an inherited disorder that affects red blood cells).
