Medical Description
Ntg injection is used in hospital care for angina, heart failure, coronary artery disease and severe high blood pressure, including hypertensive emergencies. Its active ingredient is nitroglycerin, a nitrate that relaxes blood vessels so blood can reach the heart more easily and the heart pumps against less resistance. This lowers the heart's oxygen demand and can reduce chest pain and blood pressure when rapid control is needed. Ntg injection is given as a controlled infusion into a vein by a doctor or nurse in a hospital or clinic, with close monitoring, and is not self-administered.

- Severe high blood pressure: Rapid widening of blood vessels can lower dangerously high pressure during a hypertensive emergency and reduce the risk of organ injury.
