Novaclav 625 tablet is an antibiotic medicine and is used to treat bacterial infections of the respiratory tract, ear, nose, urinary tract, bone and joint. It contains a combination of Amoxicillin an
d Clavulanic acid as active ingredients. Take this medicine in dosage as prescribed by the doctor. Do not stop taking Polyclav 625 mg tablet, as it may result in treatment failure and reoccurrence of the infection, thus you should always complete the course of the treatment. Novaclav 625 tablet is used to treat various bacterial infections of sinus, respiratory tract, urinary tract, bone and joint.

- If you are allergic to amoxicillin, clavulanic acid or other ingredients of Novaclav 625 tablet.
- If you have a history of allergic reactions to other antibiotics like cephalosporins, monobactam, carbapenem.

Mode of Action of Novaclav 625mg Strip Of 6 Tablets
How Does It Work?
- Novaclav 625 tablet acts by inhibiting the growth and multiplication of the bacteria, thus killing the bacteria responsible for infections.
- However, the bacteria make the enzyme (beta-lactamases) which can destroy Amoxicillin. Clavulanic acid inactivates this enzyme and hence helps Amoxicillin to function optimally.
Directions for Use of Novaclav 625mg Strip Of 6 Tablets
Take it as directed by the doctor. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water, do not cut, break or chew the medicine. It must be taken after meals to avoid stomach problems. Take at a fixed time for optimal results and must not consume it more than prescribed by the doctor....

- Some medicines affect the way Novaclav 625 tablet works or the medicine itself reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.

- Taking blood thinners, oral contraceptive pills, medicines to treat cancer, gout, medicines used to modify immune response during organ transplant.
- There is a risk of bleeding when taken with medicines used to thin the blood like warfarin, acenocoumarol. Blood tests like PT-INR are necessary.
- There are risk side effects when taken with methotrexate (used in the treatment of cancer).
