Medical Description
Nicardia Retard 20 Tablet SR is a medicine used to treat high blood pressure in adults. It contains nifedipine as its active ingredient, which helps relax and widen the blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood. By controlling blood pressure, this medicine helps reduce the risk of serious heart-related problems like heart attacks and strokes.
Taking Nicardia Retard 20 Tablet SR regularly helps maintain healthy blood pressure. It can be taken with or without food, but it’s important to take it at the same time each day for the best results. Swallow the tablet whole with water, without crushing or chewing it. Always follow your doctor’s exact instructions regarding the dose and duration of use.
Even if you start feeling better, do not stop taking Nicardia Retard 20 Tablet SR on your own, as sudden withdrawal may cause your blood pressure to rise again or worsen your condition. Your doctor will guide you on how to stop or adjust the dose if needed, gradually.
Along with this medicine, maintaining a healthy lifestyle is very important. Try to eat a balanced, low-salt diet, exercise regularly, and manage stress to support your heart health. Reducing smoking and alcohol intake can also help improve the medicine’s effectiveness.
Before starting Nicardia Retard 20 Tablet SR, inform your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, or herbal products you are taking. Also, let your doctor know about any medical conditions you have, especially heart, liver, or kidney problems, to ensure safe and effective treatment.
