Medical Description

Neuzumab injection is an anti-cancer medication used by cancer specialists to treat specific types of breast cancer. It targets a protein called HER2, which is overexpressed in certain breast cancers. By binding to HER2, Neuzumab injection inhibits the growth of these cancer cells. Neuzumab injection is used in various treatment settings, including early-stage breast cancer with high HER2 levels and metastatic breast cancer. It may be administered alone or in combination with other cancer treatments like chemotherapy or hormone therapy, depending on the specific type and stage of the cancer.

Neuzumab injection is used by cancer specialists in the treatment of breast cancers.

Mode of Action

How Does It Work?

Trastuzumab is a targeted cancer therapy that specifically targets cancer cells overproducing the HER2 protein. By attaching to HER2, it inhibits cell growth and division. It enhances the immune system's ability to recognize and eliminate these cancer cells. Trastuzumab primarily affects HER2-positive cancer cells, minimizing its impact on healthy cells, and making it a valuable treatment option for these cancers.
