  • CYP34A inhibiting medications like troleandomycin and isoniazid increases the plasma concentration of methylprednisolone
  • Concomitant treatment with CYP3A4 inducers like rifampin and phenytoin decreases the methylprednisolone concentration by increasing its hepatic clearance
  • When methylprednisolone is given along with another CYP3A4 substrate like tacrolimus and cyclophosphamide, the hepatic clearance of methylprednisolone is inhibited
