Mirnite Mel tablet is a prescription antidepressant medication that is used to manage the symptoms of all types of depression. Symptoms of major depressive disorder in adults include restlessness, tension, anxiety, irritability, loss of interest. The active ingredient in Mirnite Mel tablets is Mirtazapine. The mode of action of Mirnite Mel tablets is by stabilizing the levels of specific chemical messengers in the brain that helps manage mood changes and improve behavior. When used in reasonable amounts, this medicine does not cause addiction. However, there may be physical dependency (symptoms occur when the medicine is not taken) in people using Mirnite Mel tablets for a long time. Mirtazapine medication is not approved for use in children.
