Metosartan AM tablet is a combination medicine used to control high blood pressure and reduce strain on the heart and blood vessels. It contains metoprolol, amlodipine and telmisartan. Metoprolol slows the heart and lowers its workload, amlodipine relaxes blood vessels, and telmisartan blocks a natural signal that tightens blood vessels and promotes salt retention. Metosartan AM tablet is used when more than one blood-pressure action is needed and is taken by mouth as prescribed. It should not be stopped suddenly because blood pressure or heart-related symptoms may worsen.
