Description
Methergin tablet is a uterine stimulant. It contains methyl ergometrine as the active substance. It is used after childbirth to prevent or stop uterine bleeding. Methergin tablet works by increasing
the rate and strength of uterine contractions which helps in controlling bleeding. Take this medicine in the exact dose and for the prescribed duration. Do not take more than the recommended dose. Before using Methergin tablet, inform the doctor about your detailed medical history.

Uses
Methergin tablet is used after childbirth to prevent or stop uterine bleeding.
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to methyl ergometrine or any other ingredients of Methergin tablet.
- If you have high blood pressure.
- If you are pregnant and had high blood pressure, the presence of protein in the urine and swelling of feet, hands or face.
