Medistat 5mg nasal spray belongs to a class of medicines called benzodiazepines and is rapidly absorbed into the bloodstream. The spray ensures that the medicine is absorbed rapidly through the inner lining of the nose. Once the medication reaches the bloodstream, it influences gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), a chemical messenger in the brain.
This messenger reduces the brain cells' excessive and abnormal activity that results in symptoms such as anxiety. This helps in inducing sleep, causes sedation, calms nerves, and reduces anxiety. It also prevents seizures and fits by stabilising the nerve cell activity of the brain....
Directions for Use of Medistat 5 MG
- Medistat 5mg nasal spray must be taken as directed by your doctor.
- Take Medistat 5mg nasal spray at the same time every day to ensure that a constant level of medication is maintained in the blood.
- Insert the tip of the bottle into one nostril while you close the opposite one.
- Spray the medicine by directing the nozzle to the side of the nostril, away from the cartilage dividing the nose.
- While spraying the medication, inhale gently and keep your head upright. Repeat the process for the other nostril.
