Uses
- As per USFDA, Medistat nasal spray is used for managing acute episodes of seizure disorder in patients who are 12 years of age and older and who are also taking other antiepileptic (antiseizure) medication.
- It is also indicated as a local anaesthetic before a small procedure to reduce anxiety.

- You are using any herbal or ayurvedic medicines and supplements, inform your doctor to avoid interactions.
- You have a history of depression, Medistat nasal spray can worsen the condition.
- You have congestive heart failure, this medicine should be used with caution.
- You have impaired kidney and liver function, the dose of this medicine should be carefully monitored.
- You have a psychiatric disorder, Medistat nasal spray can cause mood and behaviour changes.
Directions for Use
- Take the Medistat nasal spray in the recommended dose and duration.
- You can take it with or without food.
- Do not take more than a single dose at one time without informing the doctor, as this can lead to an overdose.
- Try to take this medication on time to maintain a consistent dosage.
- Check the expiration date before using it.

- Overdose of Medistat nasal spray can cause symptoms such as uncoordinated muscle movements, low blood pressure, mental confusion, shallow breathing, difficulty staying awake, slurred speech, impaired reflexes, dizziness, reduced balance, speech disorder, respiratory arrest, coma and death. In case of Medistat nasal spray overdose, seek immediate medical treatment from the nearest medical centre.

- Do not take Medistat nasal spray with other depressant medications. It can cause overdose and serious side effects.
- Using this medicine with others that cause drowsiness, such as antihistamine (allergy medication), pain relievers (opioid), cough medicines, and muscle relaxants, can cause serious side effects like slow breathing and severe drowsiness.
- Do not use this medicine if you are already taking medications for sleep or anxiety.
- This medicine can reduce the effectiveness of certain medicines like HIV medicines and antifungals.
