Description
Medistat nasal spray is a prescription medication used as preoperative sedation before a small procedure. It is used for managing acute or sudden epilepsy or seizures (fits). It also reduces anxiety
and has amnesia (loss of memory) properties. Medistat nasal spray consists of midazolam as its active ingredient. Midazolam works by increasing the activity of a chemical substance in the brain, which is responsible for causing drowsiness, calming effect, relaxing muscles, and reducing anxiety. It also helps lower the nerve cells’ electrical activity in the brain. This medicine does have some side effects. But most of them do not require any medical intervention, as they disappear once you are used to the dosage. Consult a doctor if they persist or get worse.
