Dosage

Overdose

This medication contains clobetasol, a steroid that can cause adrenal suppression and Cushing's syndrome when taken in greater doses and for longer periods. It can cause weight gain, high blood pressure, and rounding of the face. Its use may cause a change in skin tone in the area where it is applied. Veins beneath the skin's surface become visible as the skin thins and weakens. Your hair will likely grow faster as a result of this. If your symptoms become more severe, you should see your dermatologist for a re-evaluation.

Missed a Dose

Apply the missed Macderm plus plus cream 15gm dose as soon as you remember. Do not apply twice the amount of cream at once to compensate for the loss of missed dose.

Mode of Action

How Does It Work?

Clobetasol, Miconazole, and Neomycin are all included in Macderm plus plus cream 15gm, a skin infection treatment that combines three medications. Clobetasol is a steroid of some sort. It works by preventing the production of prostaglandins, which cause the skin to become red, swollen, and itchy. Miconazole is an antifungal that works by preventing the fungus from forming its protective coating. Finally, the antibiotic neomycin belongs to the class of antibiotics. It stops bacteria from growing by preventing the creation of essential proteins for their survival.

Interactions

Interactions with other medicines

  • Medications containing acetazolamide, aminoglycosides, antacids, aspirin, antidiabetics, barbiturate, calcium-channel brokers and carbamazepine should be used with caution with this cream
