Medical Description
Lutogen Depot injection is used in selected pregnant women to help reduce the risk of delivering a baby too early, especially after an earlier premature delivery. It contains hydroxyprogesterone, a synthetic progestin that acts like the natural hormone progesterone. This hormone supports the uterine lining and may help reduce contractions that could lead to early delivery. Lutogen Depot injection is given by a doctor or nurse in a hospital or clinic and must not be self-injected.
