Loprin 75mg tablet is an antiplatelet medicine containing acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin). It is used to prevent blood clot formation within the body. It is also used to prevent heart attacks, strokes
and chest pains associated with the heart. This medicine should not be used by individuals with bleeding disorders.

Interactions with other medicines
- Certain medicines can affect the way Loprin 75mg tablet works or Loprin 75mg tablet itself can affect the action of other medicines taken at the same time.
- The effect of treatment may be influenced if Loprin 75mg tablet is taken at the same time as some other medicines for thinning of the blood/prevention of clots (e.g.warfarin, heparin, clopidogrel, alteplase), rejection of organ after transplantation (ciclosporin, tacrolimus), high blood pressure (e.g. diuretics and ACE-inhibitors), regulation of the heartbeat (digoxin), manic-depressive illness (lithium), pain and inflammation (e.g. NSAIDs such as ibuprofen or steroids), gout (e.g. probenecid), epilepsy (e.g. valproate, phenytoin), glaucoma (acetazolamide), cancer or rheumatoid arthritis (methotrexate - in doses lower than 15mg per week), diabetes (e.g. glibenclamide, insulin), depression (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) such as sertraline or paroxetine), corticosteroids, antacids (indigestion medicine), etc....
