Kofnil syp 60ml torque is a syrup that contains phenylephrine, chlorpheniramine, and dextromethorphan hydrobromide as the active medicines. This syrup is used to relieve dry cough and other allergy s
ymptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, and throat irritation. It also helps to treat nasal congestion and reduces breathing problems due to common cold. Kofnil syrup inhibits the activity of a substance called histamine that causes allergic reactions. Kofnil syrup is not recommended to be used for more than one week. You should not consume more amount of medicine than recommended by your doctor. If symptoms persist after the recommended duration of treatment, inform your doctor. This syrup can be used in adults and children above two years, however, the dose required of this syrup differs according to age.

Interactions with other medicines
- The contents of Kofnil syrup increases the effects of medicines like tricyclic antidepressants, alcohol, barbiturates, and other central nervous system medicines
- Co-administration of monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) increases the activity of Kofnil syrup
- Co-administration of narcotic medications increases cough-reducing action of Kofnil syrup
- Kofnil syrup decreases the blood pressure-lowering effects of methyldopa, reserpine, mecamylamines, and veratrum alkaloids
Storage and disposal of Kofnil Syrup 60ml (Torque)
- Store Kofnil syrup at room temperature between 15-30°C.
- Store Kofnil syrup away from sunlight and moisture in a firmly closed container
- Do not freeze this medicine
- Keep the medicine away from children and pets
- Do not flush or pour Kofnil syrup down the toilet
- Do not use the medicine after expiry date
