Iron Xt Plus Tablet is used to treat anaemia and iron deficiency. This medication works by improving iron stores and maintaining optimal levels of iron and folic acid in the body. Iron Xt Plus Tablet contain a combination of vitamin B9 (folic acid) and iron, both of which are necessary for optimal health. It is also known as iron replacement therapy. The human body requires iron to produce red blood cells, which carry oxygen throughout the body. Iron Xt Plus Tablet helps restore iron levels, increasing red blood cell production. Folic acid is essential for cell division and the formation of blood cells. Taking Iron Xt Plus Tablet during pregnancy helps prevent neural defects in the child and supports its growth and development. Always use Iron Xt Plus Tablet as your doctor has directed.

Uses

  • For treatment and prevention of iron and folic acid deficiency i.e. anaemia, characterised by weakness, fatigue, difficulty in breathing, headache, irritability and difficulty in concentration.
  • As a supplement to prevent nutritional deficiency during pregnancy, breastfeeding after surgery or in conditions of nutritional malabsorption.

Medicines used to treat indigestion like antacids, medicines used to treat bacterial infections like Chloramphenicol and medicines used to treat bone problems like bisphosphonates should be taken with a minimum gap of two hours Consult your doctor if you are taking medicines like Phenytoin (used to treat epilepsy), Methotrexate (used to treat cancer) and Sulfasalazine (used to treat ulcers)

One may develop anaemia, ulcers in the mouth, diarrhoea and flatulence. In severe cases, it can cause infertility.
