Imdur 30 MG Description

Imdur tablet is an anti-anginal medicine. It contains isosorbide mononitrate as its active ingredient. Imdur tablet belongs to a class of medicine called coronary vasodilators. It is used for the pre

vention of chest pain or angina due to reduced blood supply to the heart. This medicine is also used for the treatment of coronary heart disease (a heart condition where there is reduced blood and oxygen supply to the heart). Other uses of Imdur tablet include treatment of pulmonary hypertension (raised blood pressure in the blood vessels of the lungs) and as a follow-up treatment after a heart attack. Before taking this tablet you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to this medicine, similar medicines or medicines containing nitroglycerin. Take this medicine in the exact dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own. Before taking the Imdur tablet, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.
