Glyree M1 Tablets Description

Glyree M1 tablet is an anti-diabetic medication. It contains a combination of glimepiride and metformin as active substances. Glyree M1 tablet is used to manage blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes

when glimepiride or metformin alone is not effective. Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a condition in which your pancreas does not make enough insulin to keep blood sugar levels under control and your body is unable to use its own insulin adequately. Glyree M1 tablet works by increasing the release of insulin from the pancreas and decreasing the production and absorption of sugar. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to any of its components or have type 1 diabetes. Take it in the exact dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take more than the recommended dose. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own. Before starting Glyree M1 tablet, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant or breastfeeding and about your complete medical history. Also, inform about all the medicines and supplements that you take. Uses of Glyree M1 Tablets

Glyree M1 tablet is used for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet, exercise and glimepiride or metformin alone are not able to control the blood sugar levels adequately.

Contraindications of Glyree M1 Tablets

  • If you are allergic to metformin, glimepiride or any of the ingredients of Glyree M1 tablet.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you have kidney or liver failure.
  • If you have any metabolic acidosis (too much acid in the body fluids) like lactic acidosis, diabetic ketoacidosis or diabetic pre-coma.
  • If you have dehydration, severe infections or shock.
  • If you are going to take injections containing iodine.
  • If you have had heart or lung failure or had a recent incidence of heart attack or shock.
  • If you are an alcoholic.

Can I drive if I have consumed Glyree M1 tablet?
There is limited information on the effect of Glyree M1 tablet on driving ability. However, if you experience any symptoms of low blood sugar levels like dizziness, drowsiness, vision disturbances, and sweating, stop driving and have sugar/ juice. Avoid consuming sugar-free during such episodes.


Can I consume alcohol with Glyree M1 tablet?

  • Glyree M1 tablet contains a combination of glimepiride and metformin as active substances.
