How Does It Work?
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Co-administration of glycopyrrolate with azole antifungal agents like ketoconazole may affect the absorption of the other product
- Co-administration of antihistamines, muscle relaxants, opioid pain relievers, and medicines that help anxiety when taken with glycopyrrolate can intensify the drowsiness
- Umeclidinium bromide, when taken with glycopyrrolate, increases the toxicity of the other by synergism
- Glucagon, when taken with glycopyrrolate, increases the risk of gastrointestinal adverse reactions due to the additive effect on inhibition of gastrointestinal motility
- Atropine, when taken with glycopyrrolate, decreases cholinergic effects
- Antispasmodic medications, belladonna alkaloids, medications used to treat parkinsonism, irregular heartbeat, tricyclic antidepressants may also interfere with anticholinergics like glycopyrrolate and should be used with caution
