Medical Description
Gamunex injection is used to provide antibodies for people with certain antibody deficiencies and to help raise platelet levels in some immune-related bleeding disorders. It contains polyvalent immunoglobulins, a combination of purified human antibodies that can provide temporary immune protection and modify abnormal immune activity. The antibodies help the body respond to foreign substances, and in some blood disorders they can reduce platelet destruction. Gamunex injection is given slowly into a vein by a doctor or nurse in a hospital or clinic, with monitoring during treatment.
