Fosirol 3 GM Description

Fosirol sachet contains Fosfomycin, an antibiotic used to treat urinary tract infections in women. Infection can be caused due to various susceptible strains of bacteria. Fosirol sachet works by inhi

biting the growth of the bacterial cell wall thus leading to its death. It should not be used in children below 12 years of age. Fosirol sachet is used for the treatment of urinary tract infections (acute cystitis) in women due to susceptible strains of E.Coli and Entreococcus faecalis.

Pregnancy

Can I take Fosirol sachet during pregnancy?

The use of Fosirol sachet is not recommended during pregnancy as it may cause harm to the unborn baby unless prescribed by the doctor after considering it to be safe and necessary during the pregnancy.

How Does It Work?

Fosfomycin present in Fosirol sachet works by inhibiting the cell wall synthesis of bacteria, which results in killing the bacteria responsible for infection of the urinary tract.

Directions for Use of Fosirol 3 GM

Fosirol Powder should be taken on an empty stomach either 1 hour before a meal or at least 2 hours after a meal before bedtime and after emptying the urinary bladder.
