Fortum 1 GM Description
Fortum 1gm Injection contains Ceftazidime which is an antibiotic medicine. It works by inhibiting the cell wall synthesis of bacteria, absence of cell wall will result in death of bacteria. Fortum 1g
m Injection is used for treating bacterial infections of the urinary tract, respiratory tract, and skin. It is also used to treat infection of meninges which is an outer cover of the brain and spinal cord. This medicine will be given as an injection by doctor or nurse, do not self inject as this may be harmful for you.

Uses of Fortum 1 GM
- For the treatment of various types of bacterial infections such as infections of the urinary tract, respiratory tract, gastrointestinal tract and skin.
- Treatment of Meningitis. (inflammation of meninges that cover the brain and spinal cord)
Contraindications of Fortum 1 GM
- If you are allergic to this medicine or any other cephalosporins
- If you have a history of a severe allergic reaction to any other antibiotics like penicillins

- Blood disorder like decrease in blood count, excessive platelets in the blood
- Swelling in veins
- Diarrhoea
- Increased liver enzymes
- Urge to scratch, rashes
- Pain and swelling at the site of injection

Overdose
