Fluvo 50 mg Tablets are most commonly used for the treatment of depression and obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCD). Depression is a medical condition characterised by feelings of sadness, anger that can affect one's daily activities. Obsessive-compulsive disorder is characterised by unwanted thoughts and ideas that lead to compulsive behaviour. Fluvo 50 mg Tablets are antidepressants. The active component of this medicine is fluvoxamine.
Fluvo 50 mg Tablet is a prescription medicine, and it is to be taken exactly as suggested by the physician. The physician should be consulted immediately if you experience any side effects, allergic side effects, or your condition worsens. The medicine should be continued for as long as your doctor recommends. It is essential to complete the prescribed course of treatment. The medicine should not be given to anyone else, even if they have the same symptoms or condition. Contraindications of Fluvo 50 MG

Pregnancy

Fluvo 50 mg Tablets are not recommended during pregnancy. The limited studies conducted have reported that this medicine can cause harmful effects on the developing baby. Tremor, vomiting, respiratory difficulties, abnormal muscle tone, temperature instability and difficulty in sleeping have been observed in neonates if the mother has used the medicine late in pregnancy. Consult your doctor before using the medicine. Do inform the doctor about your pregnancy or intention to conceive at the time of consultation.
Breast Feeding

Directions for Use of Fluvo 50 MG
- Take the Fluvo 50 mg Tablet exactly as directed by your doctor.
- Fluvo 50 mg Tablet can be taken with or without food.
- Swallow Fluvo 50 mg Tablet as a whole with a glass of water. Do not break, chew, or crush it.
- For optimal pharmacological effects, take the recommended dose of Fluvo 50 mg Tabs at the same time every day for the prescribed duration.
- Do not alter the dosage of Fluvo 50 mg Tablet without consulting your doctor.
- Do not use it post the date of expiry stated on the label.
Interactions of Fluvo 50 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Fluvo 50 mg tablets can cause adverse reactions when taken with the following medicines:
- Interaction with monoamine oxidase inhibitors like moclobemide and selegiline can increase the risk of serotonin syndrome.
- Interaction with serotonergic agents like selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, amphetamines, triptans, and lithium can cause enhanced serotonergic effects.
- Interaction with oral anticoagulants like warfarin can increase the risk of bleeding.
- Interaction with pimozide may increase the risk of QT prolongation.
- Interaction with tricyclic antidepressants like imipramine, amitriptyline and benzodiazepines like triazolam, midazolam may increase the plasma levels of these medicines.
- To avoid undesirable side effects associated with medication interaction, inform your doctor about all medicines and health supplements you are currently taking.
Interactions with food items
- There are no known adverse interactions of Fluvo 50 mg Tablet with food. Unless your physician suggests otherwise, there is no need to avoid any particular type of food or drink when taking Fluvo 50 mg tablets....
