Uses
- Esta plus is used in the treatment of clinical depression and anxiety-related disorders. It is also used for the treatment of panic disorders and bipolar disorder.

- Talk to your doctor if :
- You experience persistent side effects, and they seem to worsen over time.
- You want to stop taking Esta plus tab.
- You do not see any progress from the use of Esta plus.
- You develop an allergy to Esta plus tab (rashes, hives, swelling on the hands or face).
- You have missed a dose or doses of the medication.
- You experience any other medical issues that arise after you start taking Esta plus.
Directions for Use
- Esta plus comes in a strip of 10 tablets. It has to be taken orally along with water with/without food.
- The time of the dose is prescribed by the physician, and it is usually advised to take medicine at the same time every day.
- Do not chew or crush the tablet into powder form.
- It is advised to check the expiry date before you start the medication.
- Please inform your doctor in case of any missed doses/doses.
- Do not change or increase/decrease the dose without speaking to your physician.
- Stopping Esta plus tab abruptly, especially after prolonged use, can cause withdrawal symptoms like sleep disturbances, fatigue, and increased tendency of seizures.

- Overdose of Esta plus tablets can be accidental due to missed doses, improper dosage, or intentional overuse.
- Overdose of Esta plus tablets can cause confusion, seizures, and uncontrolled muscle movements. It can cause serotonin syndrome (shivering, muscle stiffness, rapid heart rate, and fever), which happens due to excess accumulation of serotonin in the body. If not handled properly, it can lead to coma or be fatal.
- All patients on Esta plus tablets should be regularly monitored.
- Any cases of overdose of Esta plus tablets should be immediately reported to the emergency unit of your nearest healthcare provider.

Interactions with other medicines
- Esta plus should not be given along with/given with caution if you are on:
- NSAIDs/painkillers like Aspirin as it may increase the risk of bleeding episodes.
- Esta plus tab, when taken along with monoamine oxidase inhibitors like isocarboxazid, phenelzine, selegiline, can lead to an increased risk of serotonin syndrome; therefore, a 14 days gap is advised between stopping one medicine and starting the other.
- When taken along with anti-anxiety medicines like Buspirone, it can cause complications like excess sweating, nervousness, insomnia, increased heart rate, and agitation.
- Taking it along with pain medications like tramadol, sumatriptan, and rizatriptan can reduce the efficacy of Esta plus tab.
- Antifungals like ketoconazole and itraconazole and antivirals like ritonavir can increase levels of clonazepam in the blood.
- Esta plus should not be taken along with other benzodiazepines (antidepressants) like carbamazepine, phenytoin as they can cause breathing issues when taken together.
- Medications that cause drowsiness should not be prescribed along with Esta plus like Opioids (codeine), anti-allergy (cetirizine), painkillers like morphine, and sleep medications like Zolpidem.
Interactions with food items
- Esta plus tab does not show adverse reactions to any food. It is not advised to consume alcohol while on therapy with Esta plus tab as it may increase the severity of side effects like dizziness, fatigue, and clouded thinking.
