Medical Description
Erypal dry syrup is an oral antibiotic used for certain bacterial infections, including susceptible infections of the airways and skin, when prescribed by a clinician. Its active ingredient is erythromycin, which slows bacterial growth by preventing susceptible bacteria from making essential proteins. The dry syrup is prepared as a liquid and given by mouth with the measuring device supplied with the pack. It does not treat viral illnesses such as most colds, and it should be used only for the infection for which it was prescribed. It is not a general remedy for fever or pain.
