Enril H 20mg Tablets

• Enalapril blocks the process that converts angiotensin I into angiotensin II by inhibiting an enzyme called ACE. This action disrupts the body's system that regulates blood pressure and fluid balance, known as the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system.
• Hydrochlorothiazide acts on the renal tubular mechanism by hindering the reabsorption of electrolytes, which increases the excretion of sodium, chloride, and water, thus reducing blood volume and arterial pressure.

• If you are allergic to enalapril, hydrochlorothiazide or any other ingredients of the Enril H tablet.
• If you are taking medicines called sacubitril or valsartan (for Chronic heart failure).
• If you have renal or hepatic diseases.
• If you have a history of angioedema (a type of swelling that occurs in the deeper layers of the skin) or anuria (absence of urine production).
• If you are pregnant.

• Blurred vision
• Dizziness
• Cough
• Nausea
• Fatigue

Other General Warnings

• You are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, as enalapril can cause serious harm or death to the unborn baby.
• You have a history of angioedema (severe swelling), especially related to previous ACE inhibitor therapy.
• You are allergic to enalapril or any other ACE inhibitors.
• You have kidney disease or are undergoing dialysis.
• You are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed.
• You experience dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting, especially when standing up quickly.
• You have persistent or severe vomiting or diarrhoea, as these can cause a drop in blood pressure.
• You are taking other medications, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements, as they may interact with enalapril.

• The tablets can be taken with or without food and swallowed whole with water.
• Take it at the same time for better results.

• Store in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight.
• Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

Missed a Dose

Overdose

• If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
• Taking too much of this medicine can lead to electrolyte disturbances, disturbed heart rate, renal failure, fast breathing, palpitations, dizziness, anxiety, and cough.

Interactions with other medicines

• Consult your doctor if you are taking other medications used to lower blood pressure, as they may further lower your blood pressure.
• Lithium-containing medicine used for certain brain-related problems, if taken along with this medicine, can lead to increased levels of lithium in the body and toxicity.
• For medicines or supplements containing potassium, frequent monitoring of potassium levels is recommended.
• Other medications, such as Celecoxib, Rofecoxib, and Etoricoxib, are used to reduce pain and inflammation.
