Medical Description
Ecosprin AV 75 capsule is used to prevent heart attacks and strokes and treat abnormal cholesterol levels (dyslipidemia) in the body. It contains the cholesterol-lowering medicine atorvastatin and a low dose of aspirin, which acts as a blood thinner. This works by reducing cholesterol formation and inhibiting blood clot formation, helping prevent heart attack and stroke.
Ecosprin AV 75 capsules should be taken as your doctor advises for the prescribed duration. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own. Take Ecosprin AV at the same time every day for better results. Before initiating the treatment, inform your doctor about your complete medical history.
If you have liver or kidney problems or a bleeding issue, please consult your doctor before using this medication. You must inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Also, make sure to tell your healthcare team about any other medications you are taking, as they may interact with or be affected by this medication.
Common side effects of Ecosprin AV 75 capsule include abdominal discomfort, indigestion, constipation, joint pain, and insomnia. This medication increases your risk of bleeding, so be cautious when shaving, cutting nails, using sharp objects, or participating in contact sports (e.g., football or wrestling). Please inform your doctor if you experience yellowing of the skin, muscle pain, or black urine.
Other capsules containing the same active molecules are Aztor Asp 75mg, New Modlip Asg 75mg, Atorva Asp 75mg, and Lipikind As 10/75mg.
