Uses
- According to CDSCO, Duvata capsule can used for the treatment of anxiety disorder, major depressive disorders in adults only, moderate to severe stress urinary incontenance (lack of control over urination) in women, and management of neuropathic pain in diabetic peripheral neuropathy (nerve damage due to diabetes).

Interactions with other medicines
- Do not take the following medicines with a Duvanta 20 mg tablet without informing your doctor.
- If you take other antidepressant medications like linezolid, diazepam, fluoxetine, etc, with this medicine. It can cause severe reactions.
- Do not take high doses of opioid painkillers like tramadol with it; it can cause extreme drowsiness and side effects.
- If you are on blood thinners like aspirin, warfarin, etc., taking them with a duvanta tablet can increase the risk of abnormal bleeding.
- Do not mix antibiotics like ciprofloxacin with this medicine; it increases the level of Duvanta in blood and can cause serious effects.
- Inform your doctor if you are using other medicines like sertraline, lithium and dextromethorphan. They can cause severe side effects.
Interactions with food items
- Do not take the Duvanta 20 mg tablet with alcohol. It can interfere with the effects of the medicine and worsen the condition. It can also increase the severity of side effects like drowsiness, dizziness, mood disorders, etc.
- Some brain-stimulating things like coffee, energy drinks, etc. interfere with the effects of this medicine.
- Avoid consuming grapefruit and its juice, as it may interfere with this medicine.
