Doxylab capsule is a combination of doxycycline and ambroxol. This capsule helps in treating various bacterial infections of the respiratory tract. It also helps in expelling out the thick mucus by t
hinning and loosening it. You may experience some common side effects like nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach pain and loss of appetite in taking this capsule. Please inform your doctor if you experience any other side effect than these. Doxylab can increase your sensitivity to light thus do not expose yourself much to the sunlight. - To treat various acute and chronic respiratory system related disorders especially with thick mucus (bronchitis, and other inflammatory conditions of the nasal tissues).
Contraindications of Doxylab Strip Of 10 Capsules
If you are allergic to the active ingredient doxycycline and/or Ambroxol.
If you have a history of gastric ulcers.
If you are suffering from a rare skin disorder (stevens-Johnson syndrome).

- Take the Doxylab capsule in dose and duration as directed by your doctor.
- Do not break or crush the capsule.
- Do not consume the medicine if it has passed its expiry date.

Interactions with other medicines
- Concomitant use of Doxylab capsule along with antacids (containing magnesium, aluminium), iron preparations, calcium supplements, oral zinc or bismuth. carbamazepine, phenytoin (medicines used to control fits and brain disorder) and barbiturates (used to control fits and have a calming effect on the mind), as these medicines reduce the effect of Doxylab capsule....
- Doxylab capsule contain doxycycline which can increase the action of blood thinners like warfarin thus both must be used together with caution.
- Doxylab capsule contain doxycycline that decreases the effectiveness of medicines like birth control pills and penicillin antibiotics like amoxicillin, ampicillin, dicloxacillin, oxacillin (used to treat infections) hence coadministration should be done carefully...
- Doxylab capsule decrease the elimination of medicines used to modify the body's immune system (ciclosporin), thus inform your doctor before taking these medicines together.
- Concomitant use of Doxylab capsule and derivatives of vitamin A (oral retinoids) should be done carefully as you may experience increased pressure in the skull causing headache and blurred vision.
- Discuss with your doctor about any other medicine, herbal preparation and supplements you are taking currently to avoid any possible drug interactions.
