Medical Description

Diclo Ruma injection is used for short-term relief of pain, inflammation and swelling in joint and muscle conditions, including osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. It contains diclofenac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medicine that reduces the body chemicals involved in pain and swelling. By lowering these chemicals, it can make painful movement and daily activity more comfortable for a short period. A doctor or nurse gives Diclo Ruma injection into a muscle, under the skin or into a vein in a hospital or clinic, according to the prescribed route.

Uses

  • Short-term pain relief: Pain from joint or muscle conditions can limit movement; this medicine reduces pain and swelling so daily activity may feel easier.
  • Osteoarthritis: Wear-related joint pain and stiffness can make movement difficult; this injection can provide short-term relief when prescribed.
  • Rheumatoid arthritis: Inflammatory joint disease can cause painful swelling; diclofenac helps relieve these symptoms while the condition is managed.

If you are allergic to any ingredient of this medicine, diclofenac, aspirin, ibuprofen or another nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medicine, do not receive it. Do not receive it if you have or have had a stomach or bowel ulcer or bleeding, a bleeding disorder, bleeding in the brain, severe dehydration, heavy blood loss, moderate or severe kidney impairment, kidney failure, liver failure, severe heart failure, or serious heart or blood vessel disease. It may also be unsuitable after a heart attack, stroke or brief stroke-like episode, after surgery to clear blood vessels, or after surgery with a high risk of bleeding. Tell the doctor about asthma triggered by pain relievers, bowel disease, nasal polyps or porphyria before treatment.
