• If you have low sodium or potassium levels in the body.
• If you have a condition where your blood is too acidic, called hyperchloremic acidosis.
• If you have severe kidney disease or kidney failure.
• If you have severe liver disease or a history of liver failure.
• If you have adrenal gland problems, such as Addison's disease.
• If you have long-term (chronic) non-congestive angle-closure glaucoma, as Diamox ER 500 Capsule may mask the condition getting worse.
• If you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy.
• Diamox ER 500 Capsule should be used in children under 12 years of age only if specifically advised by a doctor.

Other General Warnings

• You have any form of kidney problem, including kidney stones.
• You have liver disease.
