Depin Retard 20mg is to be taken orally with water as whole tablet. Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.

Interactions of Depin Retard 20 MG

Interactions with other medicines

Withdrawal of beta blockers and initiation of Nifedipine can increase the risk of angina (chest pain), heart failure CYP3A inhibitors such as ketoconazole, fluconazole, itraconazole, clarithromycin, ...

Grapefruit may increase the time that Depin Retard remains in the blood, increasing its effects. St. John's wort may increase clearance of nifedipine from the blood and thus should be avoided.

Other general Interactions

Clearance of nifedipine is reduced and systemic exposure increased in patients with cirrhosis
Nifedipine should be avoided in the first two weeks after a heart attack and in acute coronary syndrome.
