Daltepin 10000iu Injection Vail
Description
Daltepin injection is a medicine used to prevent and treat blood clots in both adults and children. It helps stop clots from forming before or after surgery and in patients who are bedridden due to serious illnesses, including heart failure, breathing problems, or severe infections. It is also used in patients with cancer to prevent recurrent clots and in children aged 1 month and older under careful medical supervision.
The medicine works by enhancing the action of a natural protein called antithrombin III. This protein primarily inhibits the enzyme factor Xa and, to a lesser extent, thrombin, both of which are involved in blood clot formation. By doing so, Daltepin injection prevents clots from growing or forming in blood vessels, thereby reducing the risk of serious complications such as deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, or stroke.
Daltepin injection is given as an injection by a healthcare professional, usually in a hospital or clinic. The dose and schedule depend on your medical condition, age, and body weight. It is important not to inject it into a muscle, and the injection sites recommended by your doctor should always be used. Regular monitoring, such as blood tests, may be needed to ensure the medicine is working safely and effectively.
While using Daltepin injection, some side effects may occur, including mild low platelet counts, bleeding, high potassium levels, or pain at the injection site. People at higher risk of bleeding, those taking other blood thinners, or those with kidney, liver, or heart problems should be closely monitored. Signs such as unusual bruising, nosebleeds, or bleeding gums should be reported to a doctor immediately.
It is important to follow all instructions provided by your healthcare professional, including proper storage, diet, hydration, and avoiding alcohol unless approved. Do not stop the medicine suddenly, and always attend follow-up appointments. With careful use and monitoring, Daltepin injection can effectively reduce the risk of dangerous blood clots while keeping you safe from serious side effects.
