Cyclotin Tablets is a prescription medicine indicated for depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder(OCD), eating, and panic disorders. Depression refers to the persistent feeling of hopelessness, sad
ness, and loss of interest that affects the ability to continue living normally. Obsessive-Compulsive disorder relates to someone who has uncontrollable thoughts and repetitive behaviour, which makes the patient obsessed with specific situations. Cyclotin is prescribed for patients with bulimia nervosa, which is an eating disorder. In this disorder, one tends to eat excessively and further tries to get rid of the food in an unhealthy way, like vomiting it out. Cyclotin has Fluoxetine as an active ingredient. Fluoxetine is an antidepressant and belongs to a group of medications known as Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs). The common side effects of Cyclotin include Nausea, Drowsiness, Dizziness, Loss of appetite, Indigestion, Excessive sweating, and Dry mouth. It is only taken with a doctor’s recommendation, and the prescribed dosage should be strictly followed.

- Do not give Cyclotin Tablets to anyone you feel has the same symptoms; it can lead to serious side effects.

How Does It Work?
Directions for Use of Cyclotin 20 MG
- Cyclotin Tablets must be taken as per the doctor’s recommendation only. It is generally given as a long term medication and can be prescribed 1-2 times a day. Take as advised by the doctor and preferably at the same time. It can be taken with or without but should be taken with food, preferably to avoid stomach problems. ...
- Do not stop taking the dose on your own if you start feeling better without consulting your doctor. It can worsen the situation.
- It might take up to 2-4 weeks to start feeling better.
- Consume the tablet as a whole with water. Cyclotin tablets should not be manipulated in any way by crushing or breaking them.
- If you have missed a dose of Cyclotin, take it as soon as you remember the skipped dose. But if it is almost time for another dose, do not take medicine and continue with the usual next dose.

Interactions with other medicines
- It is shown to interact with -
- MAO Inhibitors like selegiline can be fatal if taken together with Cyclotin.
- NSAIDs and Blood thinners like Warfarin can increase the chance of bleeding or bruising.
- Diuretics like furosemide can decrease the level of salts in the body.
- Tricyclic Depressants like Amitriptyline can interfere with the efficacy of Cyclotin.
- Antihistamines like cetirizine can increase the drowsiness.
- Carbamazepine can increase the toxicity.
Interactions with food items
- The absorption of Cyclotin Tablets is not affected by food. The tablet can be taken with or without food at a fixed time.
